We are deeply grateful to our team of volunteers and for the support of our audience members, sponsors and community.
AFF is a not-for-profit organization and our mandate is to not only screen the best in independent films but, furthermore, support community needs, including through smaller local service organizations. AFF is a not-for-profit organization and our mandate is to not only screen the best in independent films but, furthermore, support community needs, including through smaller local service organizations. Profits from the screenings are donated to numerous charities and service organizations, including the Ancaster Memorial Arts Centre, the Ancaster Society for the Performing Arts, Hamilton Out of the Cold, Hamilton Food Share, Ancaster Community Services, Neighbour to Neighbour, Good Shepherd, the DeMazenod Door Program, the Cancer Assistance Program, and others. Prior to the opening of the Ancaster Memorial Arts Centre, the Ancaster Film Fest had screened 280 films to over 120 000 guests and donated more than $250 000 to these groups.
